DBD::SQLite is the Perl5 Database Interface driver for the SQLite database. In other words: DBD::SQLite is an interface between the Perl programming language and the SQLite programming API that comes with the SQLite Embeddable database management system. Most functions provided by the respective programming API's are supported.
